Responsibilities:
Performs service fulfilment for request on network services
Manage and drive incident resolution
Perform moderate to complex network changes
Provide expertise as network operations subject matter expert
Performs on call support during after business hour and weekends
Manage the life cycle of the network project contract from contract initiation, transition, expiry or termination and handover
Manage the quality and performance of service provider to ensure that services are delivered according to the specified service levels and requirements including systems maintenance, enhancements, problem resolution and improvements
Plan and develop strategy for system maintenance to meet the business objectives
Plan, review and manage ICT infrastructure initiatives
Manage vendors and contracts to ensure service and project deliverables are successfully achieved. Facilitate and support service-wide users in change management process.
Project manage the network and connectivity setup of new applications and optimization of existing networks
Ensure that projects are executed based on the project plan to meet identified business needs, within agreed parameters of cost, duration and quality.
Understand the IT management policy, quality management policy and security guidelines to ensure the development processes and procedures and systems are designed to comply with these policies and guidelines
Work with IT Policy, Architecture and Standards Office to ensure all governance and compliance requirements are fulfilled
Requirements:
Strong networking understanding in TCP/IP, switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, virtual private networks (VPN).
Experience in managing Data Centre switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls and use of network management tools to monitor service metrics.
Knowledge in storage networking and software defined networking will be an added advantage.
