Role and Responsibilities:
• Design a machine learning / data processing system which will have long-term and strategic implications for the Marel organization.
• Directly influence the development of the technical strategy at corporate level, by designing and prototyping the planning and optimization system at a technical level by leveraging machine learning algorithms.
• Match business challenges with technical solutions and thereby by adapting new methods and techniques drawing from personalexperiences and feedback.
• Mentoring the software development organization in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Responsible for designing and coding prototypes which will go into development for final implementation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Successful candidates will have an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in machine learning (or closely related fields) and a well-established product or research portfolio as scientific leaders in the field, as demonstrated by publications and/or publicly available software.
• 12+ years of Software Development experience as technical leader
• 5+ years of experience with at least one of the major cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google), building commercial applications using the cloud APIs for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
• Hands on experience and deep understanding of major machine learning and data mining approaches, such as supervised learning, anomaly detection, structured prediction, reinforcement learning etc.
• Applied experience of Deep Convolutional Neural Networks, Markov Chains, Back Propagation, Radial Basis, Feed Forward and various other NN implementations.
• Has experience taking unstructured data (preferably IoT) and creating learning systems that can make decisions based on data trends and patterns using convolutional neural networks.
• Experience in creating platforms that can be deployed easily, updated remotely and handle large volume of data from various sources with high availability, reliability and scalability.
• Understanding of the Azure stack, IoT Edge in a multi-tenant environment.
